Our latest project spotlight is on a kitchen that is small but mighty. The goal for the space was to maximize all potential storage areas without making the kitchen seem over-crowded with cabinetry.. To keep things light, we went with bright white wall cabinetry and cobblestone bases for the main perimeter and all cobblestone on the refrigerator wall and then punched it out with a tall, white cabinet in the back hallway..
Sometimes you need to think outside of the box. We used a tall shallow depth pantry to store canned goods, which is handy when you come in from the grocery store or when preparing a grocery list, everything is easily viewable without digging through a deep cabinet.. It blends nicely with its surroundings so as not to feel overwhelming.. It also helps the wall cabinets seamlessly blend into the main kitchen.
This kitchen also boasts a sandwich making station with the refrigerator on the left and a tall pantry cabinet on the right… The microwave, toaster and coffee maker all in one spot make mornings a breeze to get out the door on time!
The next time you are feeling like your space is too small…never fear. There is always a way to incorporate convenient storage by outfitting the kitchen with great interior cabinet features, tall pantry storage and rollout shelving/deep drawer storage so your items can be easily found.. With the right design and features, making the kitchen fun and efficient isn’t hard to do!
